Rooms & Rates
On our horsefarm Bjarnastaðir in Ölfus South Iceland, we rent out the first floor for our guests in our house. We do our best to give our guests the experience of living in an icelandic home with icelandic farm animals around the house, in the country side.
On the floor there are up to 4 bedrooms for 6- 10 people in total, a shared bathroom with a walk in shower as well as a fully equipped kitchen.
Please note: Since we are a very small, family run business it is important to book the room early enough in advance so we can make sure the date and time you want is available.

Our Guesthouse
In the kitchen, from where you can see icelandic horses, foals, chicken and dogs in their natural habitat most year around, you can enjoy a hot chocolate in the winter while looking for the norther lights (Aurora Borealis), play a game with other guests or prepare nearly any meal you like. The kitchen is for guests only and you find a fridge, oven, microwave, toaster, waterboiler, coffeemaker, dishwasher, pots, pans, some spices, oil, nescafe, tea, Nesquik, hot chocolate, dishwashing liquid, a sponge, tablecloths and a shelve to store your groceries.
Every room comes with a garden view, 2 single beds, which can easily be pushed together or apart, as well as linens and 2 towels per Person. You can find spare blankets and pillows in the closets in each room. In the bedrooms every window has both roller blinds and curtains, so you have the possibility to make the room almost completely dark to have a good night rest, even in the icelandic summer, when it doesn´t get dark outside for about 10 weeks.
In the bathroom with a walk in shower you find toiletries and a hairdryer.
It is possible to rent one of the double rooms for 1 or 2 people or rent the whole floor. We ussually rent out 3-4 rooms for a maximum of 6-7 people. For small groups or families, we offer the possibility to rent the whole floor for 6-10 people. That would include 4 doublerooms plus two mattresses in 2 of the rooms.
